New Shops on Bedford Street

The other day I noticed two new shops have opened on Bedford Street. Downtown Golf which has the look and feel of a pro shop with really friendly proprietors Max Miller & Paul Ferrone. Located at 125 Bedford Street next to Tigin's Irish Pub, these talented operators offer golf lessons starting at $50.00 with the latest technical equipment to analyze your swing. A great Valentine's Day gift I was thinking! Another specialty of Downtown Golf is the "while you wait" club fitting services performed at their on-site lab. Across the street is a new gallery which opened in November called Artistic Hand Blown Glass. A one of a kind store, this colorful gallery offers a wide selection of hand blown glass, the largest collection found on the east coast. From hand blown lamps to perfume bottles, its a terrific place to find a unique gift. The whimsical salt & pepper shakers in all kinds of animal shapes are surely getting a following.
