“STREET SEATS in STAMFORD DOWNTOWN”

Stamford Downtown’s 2014 Interactive Sculpture Exhibit

 A call to artists for Street Seats in Stamford Downtown,

Art in Public Places

Who: The Stamford Downtown Special Services District is calling all artists to submit

designs for Street Seats in Stamford Downtown, Art in Public Places for jury and

possible sponsor selection and exhibit inclusion.

What: Street Seats in Stamford Downtown, similar to the Cow Parade, Art-0-Mobiles,

Stamford Safari, It’s Reigning Cats & Dogs and Horsin’ Around Stamford Downtown, is

an interactive sculpture exhibit. Artists, through a juried selection process, will paint,

sculpt and decorate wooden benches that will be displayed throughout Stamford

Downtown June through August, 2014.  The exhibit will once again engage the talent of

the local and regional art community and captivate the imagaination of young and old

alike.

When:  Applications are due to the Stamford Downtown office on

                 Friday, February 14, 2014.
