STAMFORD, THE CITY AS A WORK OF ART
A WALKING TOUR OF DOWNTOWN STAMFORD

Meet at the Stamford Art Association Townhouse Gallery, 39 Franklin Street
Renee Kahn, noted artist and architectural historian, will be leading a tour of Stamford’s historic downtown as seen from an artist’s point of view. The tour will take approximately one hour and will cover the Downtown Stamford National Register Historic District. Afterwards participants are encouraged to return to the sites that interested them to photograph, sketch or paint. The resulting artwork may be submitted for inclusion in the upcoming SAA exhibit entitled “Facades,” scheduled to open in the new Ferguson Library Gallery on January 13, 2011. Art at the Ferguson
The next exhibit at the Ferguson Library Gallery will be “Facades”. The receiving dates for the show are Thursday, January 6 5-7 and Saturday, January 8 10-12. The opening will be Thursday, January 13 6-8. The theme of the show is architectural facades and the artwork is not restricted to any location or type of building. This exhibit will be shown in conjunction with an exhibit at the Stamford Art Association Townhouse Gallery, 39 Franklin St, entitled “Faces and Figures”.
