Patio diners at the Stamford Town Center’s outdoor restaurants will be treated to live music when Jazz on the Plaza comes to the downtown shopping mall this summer.
Regional jazz musicians, along with students from the Stamford Young Artists Philharmonic Summer Jazz Workshop, will play every Wednesday through Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. Performances will take place under a tent outside Barnes & Noble.

July 14: The Dan Lipsitz Quartet
July 21: The American Jazz Quintet
July 28: Stamford Young Artist Jazz Workshop
August 4: The Juicy Grapes
August 11: BC Jazz Quintet
August 18: Encore performance from Richard “Cookie” Thomas & his trio
August 25: The Joe Sinaguglia Quartet
The series kicks off Wednesday with a performance by Stamford resident Richard “Cookie” Thomas, along with a live broadcast from Star 99.9. Ten Feet Deep of Westchester, N.Y., last year’s winner of Unplugged in the Plaza and a finalist in Stamford’s Battle of the Bands, will take the stage the following Wednesday.
