my office notes #4.....

So, silly things happen everywhere, and sometimes crazy things happen around town.  Like the time I was walking back to my office from a stroll around Mill River.  Making my way up West Park Place I happen to spy a dinosaur.  Yes, it was a dinosaur on the move. On a moving flatbed.  Actually, it was to be part of a display at the Palace.  Dino's are big these days - no pun intended.

Note: This the final installment of "my office notes". It was fun.If you want more installments of  "my office notes' , don't forget to email me cheryl@stamford-downtown.com

my office notes #3...

Daffodils.  Gosh aren't they the perfect sign of spring?  Well, look at these bulbs in bloom.

Last Spring,  the Stamford Downtown Streetscape volunteers, with assistance from Future5, helped to plant these on the small hill that sits at the southern part of Vets Park.  It was nice to see them alive & in all their glory. Let's hope stay awhile.  Need to get out of the office to discover more. #stamforddowntown

my office notes #2....

Can I just say that my desk is a mess.  It's covered in papers.  Nicely organized mess I must say.  Every paper is attached to a folder that is carefully marked.  So why do I misplace things?  This morning I searched for 10 minutes for an email that I printed ( I pretty much print 99% of my emails) all to find it was tucked away in it's proper folder.
note to self--Next time, I need to remember what I've named my folders.

stay tuned for more of my inner thoughts and office notes. #stamforddowntown

my office notes #1...

This is a new series of blog posts I'm trying out that I'd like to call office notes.  It's a little  more personal, so we'll see how this goes. Throughout the month, I'd like to share little bits of  what happens, according to me, inside my office.  Like a fly on the wall. If you likey, let me know.  Or not. (cheryl@stamford-downtown.com)

So here's a snippet of what's going on.  Yesterday, I had time to catch up on emails from over the weekend.  I'm working on gathering information to publish for the next GUIDE.  (2014 GUIDE.) The GUIDE is an annual publication that lists and maps all the restaurants and retail in the downtown area.  It should be ready to distribute early May.  I'm working hard to make sure it stays on deadline. In a week or so I'll see a final proof.   The distribution list is almost complete and I still need to work on the memo that goes with it.

Went out at lunchtime yesterday.  Visited the Ferg Library.  The weather is getting nicer, so we are all taking a sigh of relief.  We are tired of shoveling.  And salting.  So this week, there some the spring blooms!  Our streetscape volunteers have planted the annual pansies around town and they are always nice to run into.

Today, I'm gonna try to get it all done so I meet an old friend for lunch at Columbus Park.   stay tuned for more office notes. #stamforddowntown
