Time to celebrate our independence...

Happy 4th of July Stamford Downtowners!
Due to the threat of thunderstorms, city officials have decided to postpone Stamford’s Independence Day fireworks show until Saturday, July 5.
“The postponement will not affect any other details of the event,” the mayor’s office said in a news release issued Wednesday afternoon. “The event is planned to begin at 6:00 PM at Cummings Park, with the fireworks display beginning after sundown. The event is free of charge.”
The National Weather Service is expecting showers and thunderstorms Thursday evening. Saturday’s forecast, however, predicts beautiful weather.
