KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND TO PERFORM IN COLUMBUS PARK IN

STAMFORD DOWNTOWN on JULY 10, 2014

Alive@Five on the Bud Light Stage in partnership with Stamford Town Center, Reckson, BevMax and Copa Di Vino kicks off with KC &The Sunshine Band on Thursday, July 10 in Columbus Park in Stamford Downtown.
The Concert begins at 5pm.

KC & The Sunshine Band is still as widely popular today as they were when they first danced into the music scene 40 years ago. Harry Wayne Casey – KC for short – developed a unique fusion of R&B and funk, with a hint of a Latin percussion groove, giving us an impressive string of hits like “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way (I Like It)” and “Shake Your Booty.” With sales of over 100 million records, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award, KC & The Sunshine Band was one of the most progressive bands of the 70’s and is credited with changing the sound of modern pop music!

Wake Up Paradise is a rock group from Central New Jersey with something to say, and that something is...WAKE UP! Listen to their debut single, "Hits The Ground," and you will get the message loud and clear. Roger, Sal, Eric, and Lou have merged their respective instruments together to create a distinct, yet very accessible sound that showcases influences from alternative rock to jazz and hip hop.
