People watching while at Cotto...

Cotto....
It seemed like today could be one of the last days of nice, summery weather, so JR and I decided to leave the office to go out for lunch.  Great idea, no?... so we found ourselves at Cotto (51 Bank Street).

Many inner tables and chairs to choose from but the outdoor seating was inviting, so we grabbed a spot . Close to the sidewalk. Glad we did.

Lunch was better than I had expected; I ordered an awesome crab cake salad and JR had chicken Milanese. We both thought the chef "did his thing".   It's always nice when JR comments, "Yep, I'd come back here."

Being able to dine on good food outdoors and enjoy the nice weather was such an added treat.  (It's like a little gift that you can only enjoy for a short time, if the weather cooperates--and then it's over til next year....waaah)

And, so many people were out and about this afternoon. Probably because they thought the same thing I did about time running out on the summer season.  Cotto's outside tables actually hug the sidewalk, so it sometimes directs the "people parade"  to squeeze by each other.  At times, it forced some passing pedestrians to look up at each other as they passed in opposite directions, merely as a precaution, at what would probably be an uncomfortable distance otherwise. Closeness.  Such entertainment.

JR & I sipped cappuccinos and people-watched for a bit.  Perfect spot for a little people watching. For now.
