Last year was my first year experiencing the energy of the UBS Parade Spectacular in Stamford Downtown and I could not believe excitement of everyone involved. We all know the Parade stars the 25 helium balloons, the specially designed floats, the marching bands and the dancers, however, the real stars of the Parade are the volunteers. It takes over 1000 volunteers to help put on this spectacular Parade and we thank them all. If you haven't had the opportunity to volunteer I would jump to it. Not only are you part of an amazing event that captivates the children and even puts smiles on the faces of the parents - you will have the time of your life. Our volunteers return each year because they truly enjoy the experience and want to be first on the list to be there. We offer volunteer positions for balloon handlers, clowns and route marshals and we train everyone. Contact the DSSD now for more information.
