BEGINS TONIGHT, JULY 16, 2008-- A three week series!

Pops in the Park, presented Seaboard Properties and HSBC on the Heineken Stage, is a three week long series this July in Columbus Park at 6:30 pm.

July 16: MEMBERS OF THE STAMFORD SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA with Maestro Eckart Preu present Pops in Outer Space

The Symphony will fly with Superman, cross Moon River, and travel the universe with light hearted music from Star Wars and Superman. Celestial tunes by Glenn Miller, Henry Mancini, and Cole Porter round out the program.

"Broadway's favorite ingĂ©nue,” Barbara Cook is a silvery soprano with her purity of tone and warm presence she has delighted audiences around the world for more than 50 years. Recently, Miss Cook performed at two sold-out concerts with the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center.

Don’t miss Bowzer's Rock 'n' Roll Party starring Bowzer and The Stingrays, Jay Siegel and The Tokens, with Special Guest Lynn DiMenna. Jon Bauman’s portrayal of "Bowzer", leader of "Sha Na Na" for fourteen years, was so a hilarious, gangly greaser who actually stalked the streets of Brooklyn when he wasn't appearing with the group. “Bowzer” has resurfaced as one of the most multi-dimensional performers in show business today, with his Rock ‘n’ Roll Party.
