For years, contemporary artist Fernando Luis Alvarez struggled with a split identity. During the day, he was a businessman outfitted in tailored suits and lunch-time conference calls. At night, however, the artist emerged. Still clad in his daytime uniform of black and button-downs, Alvarez would paint until the early hours of the morning; starched cuffs rubbing against wet paint, leather soles tracking oils across the floor.
This performance represents how Alvarez finally made the full-transition from business to art. Staged in July 2010 at the Le Meridien Philadelphia, this was one of a series of live events orchestrated for luxury brands including Saks 5th Avenue and Chanel. Please contact
