Every year around Oscar time, the Avon Theatre hosts movies that will hopefully take home the trophy. If you haven't had a chance to catch them before, check out the schedule below. A personal favorite category is animated shorts, which I can't catch anywhere else except the Avon.

Tigin on Bedford Street - with a bow...
Again, did you notice the nice gold bow, hung on the light post, at the front of Tigin? These golden bows, 134 in all, help decorate the downtown area all season. They are attached on a wreath sway and located all around town. And in our effort to be “green”, you’ll see these bows make another appearance next year as we recycle them! They add to the beautiful seasonal display in Stamford Downtown. Check it out during the holiday season as they are all cleaned up and packed away for next year.
