At 8:30 AM, the City will host a ceremony in the Lobby of the Government Center to dedicate a new memorial created from a piece of steel from the Twin Towers. The artifact was received from the Port Authority of New York this past spring and will become part of a monument that will remain in the Government Center. This ceremony is expected to last 35 minutes and will recognize the times that each of the planes struck the Towers with a tolling of the bell.
