Pow, Punch, Zoom!
An exhibit featuring bold, colorful works of pop art
September 19 - October 31, 2010
FREE Opening Reception: Sunday, September, 19, 2010 from 2-5pm
This will include a musical and visual “happening” in our gallery
The Loft Artists Gallery is located at 845 Canal Street in Stamford, CT.

www.loftartists.com or call (203) 323-4153.
The Loft Artists Association, a non-profit organization, is located in Stamford’s South
End. For over 30 years, the Loft Artists have been dedicated to sharing the power of art
with the community in which they work. Contact www.loftartists.com or (203) 323-4153.
The Loft Artists presents “Pow, Punch, Zoom!,” an art exhibit inspired
by the bright color schemes and popular images and icons of the Pop Art movement of
the late 1950’s through 1970’s, where artists featured simple everyday imagery marked
by bright colors. "Come in and experience our Pop Art for 2010. Art should be fun.
Remember concert posters and record covers of the 1960's and 70's? You don't ! We do,
and we invite you to experience this uplifting, visual exhibit with bold and colorful
artwork from the talented group of the Loft Artists.” Says Susan Frey, mixed media artist
and show chairwoman. “This show is a perfect fit for my humorous & whimsical art,
says Frey.”
Sharing her enthusiasm for this artistic style, loft artist Renee Kahn, says, “I missed the
entire sixties. While everyone else was partying and protesting, I was changing diapers
and carpooling. NOW is my psychedelic era!”
Pow, Punch, Zoom! runs from Sunday, September, 19 through October 31, 2010. There
will be a free opening reception on Sunday, September 19th from 2-5pm featuring
food, drinks, and musical entertainment in our groovy gallery. Make the scene with your
brothers and sisters! Peace.

Mayor and “Stamford Gives Back”. Sponsored in part by Harbor Point, Kim Harris,
